Some points of view regarding comments in common:
* Blogs comments are almost as important as the content itself. It is through comments that bloggers get additional new ideas, feedback, content and more inspiration to blog better.
* Blogs comments are very effective in getting indirect traffic to your web site provided your comments are relevant to the theme.
* Blogs comments are useful to evaluate how popular an article is and to get a general idea what others might think.
* Blogs comments are not the best place to have conversations because comments are usually meant for the entire community to weigh in on. Personal, individual conversations are always best left for forums or via private messaging. Through comments bloggers are notified if they did any mistake in their post and readers are benefited to make the things from clear. Good comments also appear in search engine ranking and thus also increase your blog traffic.
* Spam is a problem on blogs exactly as it is in emails. Comment spam, as you would expect, is left in the comments of the blog posts. It usually includes a several words and a link to a spammers website. The point for the spammers is to get as many links as possible to their
website, giving it the best search engine rankings.
