Hair layering
Step 1: Section out front quarters of your hair once you center part it.

Step 2: The cut the shape of the angle you would like around your face.
Step 3:Then section the front quarter section into two parts front and back . Pull hair out to side parallel with the wall move fingers toward ends stop at about 1/2 inch mark and cut. Then take the front section of the quarter and do the same. Duplicate this action on the other side.
Always start by taking less hair off first , because you can always take off more but you cant put it back on.

The scissors can be, but don't have to be held halfway open on step two. This is how you razor your hair with scissors.( much like you would do when you cut wrapping paper with scissors half open and glide them along the paper) If you don't want to try that technique you don't have to . You can just cut straight and normal if you want. Then you want to take the 1/2 part of those sides still step 2 and snip a raggy edge , this too is optional of course. you are just lightly snipping the tips off here in a zig zag pattern . This lightens the edge a bit so it does not hang heavy and straight.
You can totally do this. Or opt to ask your hair dresser for some long front layers around your face. If you have a round or square shaped face you don't want to do this with short layers as it will only widen the face.
