EUIV Trade Tutorial

My 7 year old son was having trouble playing Europa Universalis IV (AKA EU4). He wanted to learn about trade but there was only a long video that explained it all in detail. Here, I try to explain trade as simply as possible so he can understand. This is all of the trade essentials. I explain what a trade node is, what the difference between trade value and trade power is, and where it all comes from. I also explain how to turn it all into cold, hard cash.

Basics:
* Every province belongs to a trade node.
* The ones with an icon on them in the trade map mode are super important.
* Provinces produce goods. You collect money on those goods right away as "goods produced".
* The value of those goods also appear in the trade node as trade value.
* You can make more goods by raising production development, by building workshops, or by building the expensive buildings on the bottom row. Check the price of the goods first before investing a ton.
* Each province also produces trade power Boost trade power with markets.
* You can boost trade power by adding light ships to a node or by adding a merchant.
* Have your merchant collect or transfer trade into your home node. Pay attention to how much trade power you have.
* Most of all, experiment! Keep in mind that the AI will respond to your experiments so don't read too much into a small increase or decrease, but keep experimenting.
