In this video tutorial, Edwin Braun will give you an overview of another really cool and useful feature added to Drop 3 update.
This feature will make it a breeze for you to sculpt ocean surfaces and similar flat topologies. So, here we go....

- latest addition to the ISOSurface Operator or the I-m-p-l-i-c-i-t S-h-a-p-e operator.
- here we see 39 particles all placed on the scene plane (using the std particleDraw operator) .
- go ahead and activate the 'surface' .
- std algorihm namely the 'blob' surface algorithm...that came with tP 6.0
- however, what if we did not want a blobby surface?
- what if you needn't a less bumpy surfaces?
- no need to use scaling as we added (under same menu space for blob) the 'Surface' operator.
- the 'surface' operator creates a flat surface. You can see this especially from the side.
- you can modify the parameters to change the topology or thickness of the surface.
- with the blob, particles can go missing if the parameters are changed too much but with this ISO Surface feature
you can catch the surface without losing any particles.
- This ISO surface algorithm can produce a surface that is intended by the 39 particles -
- extremely useful for creating water surface.
- and the deformation of the 'water surface' should come from the particles and not from your surfacing algorithm,
- and this is what has been achieved here right now, with this new feature.
