Integrated Injection Logic Elements I2L integrated injection logic is a class of transistor circuits. I2L circuit engineering is used to design micro chip and storage large integrated circuits (for instance, K582, K583, and K584). Let me show you I2L logic circuit. This circuit includes injection p-n-p transistors VT1 and VT2 based on the common-base connection and input multiple-collector transistors VT3 and VT4 based on the common-emitter connection. VT1 and VT2 emitters are called injectors; hole current flowing through such emitters is called injection current. Each of VT1 and VT2 transistors creates together with the power supply and external resistor R the current power source that supplies current to VT3 and VT4 inputs. The base and collector of injection p-n-p transistors are connected to the emitter and collector of input n-p-n transistors respectively. Such circuit has a small number of circuit components and connections. As part of the above circuit, input transistor collectors implement the variable inverse and VT3 and VT4 connected collectors perform the NOR operation. I2L elements have some peculiar features. They are of no-resistor type which is typical for MOS design that was implemented in I2L circuit design for the first time. This drastically simplifies the micro chip production technique. I2L elements use the current supply principle. Under this principle, the integrated circuit is based on the set current rather than voltage. Such current is directly injected into the semiconductor interval which creates the structure of one of transistors. I2L logic elements also have small logic swing value which maximizes speed performance.
