Mathemagical.js: Code math visuals on the web (teaser)

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted a video! A long while. I've been working behind the scenes on software and a broad curriculum for this channel. This video is about the software. I plan to use it for my videos, and I want you to be able to use it too!

PROPOSAL: Mathemagical.js

Wouldn't it be great if beginners could easily program mathematical visualizations directly in the browser, share them, and interact with them?

Right now, math learners and educators are the most likely to benefit from software libraries for mathematical visualization, but no existing library is accessible to them.

So, in collaboration with Jesús Rascón of @Design_Bits, I'm proposing Mathemagical.js: a new JavaScript library designed for math learners, educators, and creators. By leveraging the amazing work of the p5.js community, we can make it easy enough for beginners and flexible enough for experts!

If you're reading this, then you may already be familiar with Manim, the math visualization library originally created by @3blue1brown. We love the stunning graphics produced by this library! In fact, Jesús has used Manim to produce animations for some of the biggest math videos on YouTube (including videos by @veritasium and @Reducible).

Our goal is to make Mathemagical.js as capable as Manim, but beginner friendly, and built for the web. This will bring new opportunities for creating, sharing, and interacting with math visualizations online.

In this video, I show a demo of prototypes I've programmed, to illustrate a sample of the visualizations we want to make possible with Mathemagical.js.

I built some of these with a ProcessingJS library I wrote called visualODE (this was an early iteration of Mathemagical.js). I created the others with p5.js.
