Take the splinter from a needle’s eye
undulations of emptiness
bubbles burst into a stain of light
winebottle romance and need
bifurcation of love and dreams
I laugh at my fingers my toes my tongue
razor out pages of my sanity
I’m painted with engines and the blue of sky
butterflies of smoke and steel

I brush my teeth with my thoughts of you
look out the window to the streets of you
stab myself in the heart with you

I rolled to you like a broken wheel
spun around you like a carousel
game trails of gasket oil
haircuts of nakedness and grief
a feathered horse and a candy toy

Courscations of emptiness
jewelled breath and golden lips
3 broken teeth and a pool of love
3 minutes of fame to explode your soul
typewriter ribbons and 3 missing keys
mumble the secrets of my heart
3 veils of cloud blow across the sky
3 kisses I left in your eyes
I pressed my bones against a pane of light
held my breath and floated out to sea
uncorked my mind and sank to the bottom of you

conversations like jellyfish
tendrils of words that only stung my brain
I lost my throat my eyes my mind
my words fell dead all around my feet
