Steve Afrin is a senior engineer with MasterControl, Inc. in Cottonwood Heights, UT, but has been a Java developer in commercial industry for over two decades. He has worked in the telecommunications, financial, and medical industries, as well as for some federal government agencies. Steve started his career in Smalltalk before soon switching to Java, but also currently enjoys following the development, adoption, and expansion of Rust, Julia, and other newer languages.
