JavaScript Simplistic Text Formatting Template (Not a Text Editor)

I created this template about three years ago; it was created to demonstrate that anyone with basic coding skills in JavaScript can create a template that works similar to the Microsoft Word Document menu options. I can only speak for myself, when I state that it bothers me, when I'm expected to memorize all of Microsoft's shortcut keys and all of their menu options, in order to be viewed by an employer as being advanced in Microsoft Word or Excel. For anyone who is a VBA expert, like myself, I don't need to memorize built-in menu options or shortcut keys, because I can custom create my very own unique VBA codes to do many different functions simultaneously with the click of one button that I create for my own codes (macros). By creating this simplistic text formatting tool in JavaScript, I'm attempting to prove that there's nothing advanced about memorizing functions of popular applications, like Microsoft Excel or Word. What is advance is when someone can create their very own menu options in Microsot Word or Excel using VBA or (in this case) a browser-based template with customized menu options, like this simplistic formatting template here.
