Overcoming the spread problem when scalping.
gidmanone said what solution do you suggest for the spread problem in scalping? One may have a good entry strategy but the fact that you enter into serious loss immediately after entering every trade is very discouraging. I wouldn't mind to give back 10-15% of my overall profit at the end of the month just to avoid this major huddle. Is there a way out? For me scalping would be less than 10 pips target - for others it may be different but for me that's what it is and that where the spread becomes a significant issue. If you're looking for 6 to 10 ticks, if you're down 1 tick/point when going in, a significant amount of your profit is foregone. One way around is to try shooting for a longer term trade with a wider target. Otherwise go back sometime in the past and analyse how you would have fared if you were paying no spread - if this would have made a material difference then perhaps you could seek a broker that offers direct access to the market or offer you a negligible spread (but on a commission). OK.
