Twitch Bug Update

Well unfortunately, due to a bug in Twitch.tv's website, this let's play is going to have a huge gap. Watch the video for more details.

This is my first Skyrim Let's Play on Twitch. Getting use to rig, twitch itself, and streaming in general. Feedback to better my stream is always appreciated.

Here is the email that was sent to me from Twitch:

"...We recently discovered a bug that has potentially affected recent Highlights created for your channel. We’re reaching out to provide visibility into the issue and let you know what we’ve done to address it.

As you know, our storage policy for Past Broadcasts is 60 days for Partners and Twitch Prime users and 14 days for other users. A few weeks ago, a bug was unintentionally introduced to our system that began causing the deletion of Highlights created from expired Past Broadcasts. Normally, when a Past Broadcast expires, the Highlights created from it are saved indefinitely. However, this bug caused Highlights from expired Past Broadcasts to expire and be deleted.

We have fixed the bug since discovering it, but there is no way of recovering the deleted Highlights or expired Past Broadcasts. Unfortunately, this means that any Highlight you created from Past Broadcasts that expired between February 26 and March 8 has been permanently deleted and is unrecoverable.

While the video pages for these deleted Highlights were still available, users were seeing a “2000: Network error” message within the video player. We will be taking down the video pages for these deleted Highlights to avoid any additional confusion among viewers.

We know you put forth an incredible amount of effort to create and maintain the content on your channel. We are deeply sorry and are making every effort to prevent this from happening again...."
