ABSTRACT :

Software components are parts of a system or application which breaks the complexity into manageable parts where each component hides the complexity behind the interface. Components can be swapped in and out like the interchangeable parts of the machine. Code components are building blocks used to build applications forming the basis of the code that forms or creates the products. This identifies an asset assembly, subassembly that someone can perform maintenance work on. This can also organize code components into hierarchies. Repository is a central location in which these sorts of code components is stored and managed. The end users or developers can retrieve the reusable components from a repository. The advantages of reuse components increase software productivity, shorten software development time, improve system interoperability which reduces the complexity of software development, maintenance, operations, allows to use same code at many places and produce better quality software and provide a powerful competitive advantage. But this reuse can leads more time taking to retrieve the relevant code components which can be overcome bycognitive agent system, where an agent in Artificial Intelligence could be anything which makes a right decision, as a person, firm, machine or software which carries out an action with best outcome. Hence as our project work we proposed to build a Cognitive Agent System to Retrieve Relevant Code Components from a Repository.
