transparent picture, using mac

1. go into safari and type in google (or any other browser you would like to use, i prefer google)


2. search in images:
A) transparents or tumblr tranparents (if you would like these tumblr kinda designs)
B) any image you would prefer e.g your favourite food, celebrity, comic etc...
~ try not to have to much going on in the back ground other wise you will be editing for ages!~


3. save the image you choose
~i would just save mine onto desktop until you have made it transparent, just to make it easier for you to find~

4. now just open the image up


5. make it bigger so you can see what your doing


6. click the little box (with the arrow next to it) at the top left hand corner of the screen


7. ~it will come up with a few different ways of editing~
for the back ground click 'instant alpha'


8. than click on the background of your picture
~ hold down for as far as you want the transparency to be, only let go when you are satisfied~
~the bit that is going to be transparent is the bit that turns red~
~if you let go or stop holding the mouse down it will only take the red bit that you have highlighted`


9. than on your keyboard press the button 'delete'


10. it might pop up with a little box, like so...
~just click duplicate as PNG~


11. than it will come up like this....


12. you picture is now transparent!!
~the back ground is not actually grey, its gone!~

~if you would like to get rid of more areas just continue editing on the new pic that had popped up~


13. than click the red 'X' to leave (when you want to leave) and it will come up for options to save.


14. save where ever you like


15. your transparent (picture) is now ready to use!
