In this module we will be looking at what are the different types of Data Science coding questions, why are they are asked among data science interview questions, how to approach them through practice exercises, and in the end, we will look at tips to solve coding questions.



Looking at the trend in the last few years around hiring data scientists, it is increasingly becoming evident that data scientists not only analyze data and build models, but they also program to deploy the algorithms at scale.


Data engineering is an important aspect of a data scientists day to day life. As a data scientist, today, everyone is looking for machine learning expertise, which involves a fair bit of coding, the type of coding questions you will be asked, totally depends on the job description.


So always read through the job description carefully, to get an idea around that. You can straightaway ask before the interview as well, or the programming language in order to brush up your skills.


In this video, I will be walking you through some of the most popular types of interview questions. In this video, we will be looking at different types of coding questions asked in a data science interview. And while these questions asked, the first set of questions are about the fundamentals of the Data Science coding language, the coding language might be R Python, SQL, Julia, it totally depends on the job description.


Here if the interviewer wants to understand if you know the fundamentals of the language, or just copy pasting the code you find on the internet, it will give him confidence if you would be able to handle big and complex projects, and would be able to optimize the course. The next set of questions are about solving puzzles and small case studies using the programming language. The interviewer provides a problem and wants to see how you get to the solution, and your problem solving abilities.
