As an avid reader, I’m always looking for ways to organize and track the books I own, and what I’ve read. Currently, there are no mainstream applications that help track both traditionally published books, as well as fanworks. Archive of Our Own hosts over 7 million fanworks, 3 million users, and an average of 50 million views per day. The market is there, and when a single work can be 100K+ words, users want them counted in thier reading totals.
ReposiStory is a reading application that records a reader’s personal library, and tracks both books and original works read. Readers are able to create an account, log in, and add books to their library, or search for books using the Google Books API. Readers can mark books as read, or add original works when completed. ReposiStory is able to provide both recommended books based on the reader’s library, and data visualization through Chart.js to track books, original works and words read by month.
The technologies and languages used for this project were React.js, HTML, CSS, Python, Django REST Framework, MySQL, JSON Web Token, Google Books API, React Bootstrap, and Chart.js.

Sonya successfully created this application from scratch after completing one of devCodeCamp's courses. In as short as 12-weeks, our code bootcamp is able to take students with limited previous knowledge and turn them into career ready Junior Developers.
