Socket chat

This is an android app which enables chatting between a user on computer and another user using an android phone/tab.

Requirements:-
1)The computer should be running Java 8 or higher.
2)Kitkat or higher on Android.

Instructions to run on a real Android device and a PC or Laptop:-

1)You're out of luck if you're running Server.jar on Windows. It's because of the useless firewall. It blocks everything except the virus which it is supposed to block. So, an obvious solution would be to run the Server. jar on a computer running on Ubuntu.

2)If you still insist on running Server.jar on Windows, run Ubuntu from VMware or any virtual machine and then run Server.jar from that virtual machine. Make sure you put the IP address of the virtual machine in this case.

3)Obtain the private IP by executing the command "ipconfig" on Windows or "ifconfig" on Ubuntu.

4)Navigate to the folder containing Server.jar in your command prompt/terminal and execute the command "java -jar Server.jar"

5)Enter your name and also the port no whose range is 20000-30000. (safe range).

6)Install and run the apk on the Android device.

7)Enter the IP address of the server and also the port no. when the server was setup and press "Connect".

8)If the app is able to connect to the server, the message will show up regarding its successful connection. Now press the "Launch chat" button. The app simply freezes if it's unable to connect.

9)Enter your name in the dialog box and start chatting.
