Getting Started - CustomCat App Tutorial

To get started with CustomCat, all you need is a design & a CustomCat Account.

You can connect your account directly to any Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, or BigCommerce store. We also give partners the option to submit orders by CSV spreadsheet, manually create orders from within their CustomCat accounts, or to connect directly to our API.

To create a CustomCat account, head to customcat.com and click “Start Selling” in the top right corner of the page.

You can use your Google Account, Facebook Account, or your email address to create an account.

Be sure to read over our terms of service and privacy policy. Next, click “Sign Up.”

If you’ve signed up using an email address, you’ll be emailed a verification code to enter on the next screen. This will verify you entered your email correctly & ensures you’ll receive any vital communications from us regarding your account in the future.

That’s all it takes to create an account!

Next, you’ll select your Account Subscription. With any of our subscription options, you will gain access to our state-of-the art production & have the ability to create an unlimited number of custom products from any of the items in our catalog.

When you subscribe to CustomCat PRO, you’ll receive 20-40% off every item in our catalog, allowing you to increase your margins & scale your business more easily. Additionally, you’ll be offered exclusive PRO-only promotions throughout the year.

If you have a high-volume business, you may qualify for one of our Enterprise pricing tiers, which offer even deeper discounts on every product in our catalog based on your sales volume. If you think you may qualify, please reach out to our sales team.

For the purposes of this tutorial, we’re going to select the CustomCat PRO subscription & enter our primary payment method.

Your primary payment method will be used for subscription payment & for order fulfillment by default. You can update your primary & individual store payment methods at any time. We’ll review store-specific settings & payment in a separate tutorial.

After selecting your subscription, you’ll be led to your CustomCat Account settings. Here, you will enter your account Address & upload any relevant tax documentation.

If you are selling CustomCat products on a marketplace, you may qualify for tax exemption as a Marketplace Facilitator. Please review our Tax FAQs for more information on this subject.

Please note that completion of your account settings is required before you can connect a store, create products, or place orders.

After completing your account settings, be sure to click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

That’s it -- You’ve finished your initial account setup. In our next videos, we’ll review the store connection process & store-specific settings in your CustomCat account.
