Skybox Test

Currently getting a feel for the game's skybox. I've yet to implement a day-night system, though some save data flags exist for keeping track of the time-of-day and the total in-game days that have transpired during a saved game.

The skybox will be controlled with exposed shader parameters, and clouds will be rendered using Decals. Clouds are pre-renders made from Blender, though I may migrate from PNG to APNG when the game's weather system needs attention.

Rixin's character controller is a little wonky, but that's to be expected. Every so often I find an interesting property of CharacterBody3D and play with altered settings to see what works best, and I may have found some solutions to existing problems, though it still needs work.

Before I forget to mention this, I plan on supporting Raspberry Pi 5, though it remains uncertain how far out this ambition is. ARM64 is mature, Godot 4x has made great strides, and the Raspberry Pi 5 is absolutely capable of driving Godot games, but currently the Pi 5 is too far ahead with its hardware to be supported by software as of writing. It will definitely be a focus for much, much later, probably after the game's codebase has matured and gone through a refactor.

Lastly, as I stated previously, Ventury is not going to be updated or reopened on Roblox. I've had enough bad experiences with the platform to have zero hang-ups on the thought of staying away from it as a primary developer. Being attached to Stars Align as an auxiliary scripter is not second thoughts, it's not my project to manage. Ventury will remain closed on Roblox indefinitely. Besides, why bother to play something that, unless you're running a gaming tower, runs unfavorably? Just wait for the game's release on like itch.io or steam and be happy that it's a real game, and not something made in a sandbox engine like Roblox.
