Versions Of Python | Python Tutorial for Beginners | #100daysofcode Programming (with notes)

As of my last update in September 2021, there were several major versions of Python that were actively used in the development community. Here's a list of some significant Python versions:

Python 1.x: The initial release of Python, which laid the foundation for the language. It is no longer in use as it has been succeeded by more recent versions.

Python 2.x: Python 2 was a widely used version of Python for many years. However, it reached its end-of-life on January 1, 2020, and is no longer officially supported or maintained by the Python community.

Python 3.x: Starting from Python 3, the language underwent significant improvements and changes. Python 3.x is the current and recommended version of Python for all new projects. The latest release in the Python 3 series is Python 3.9 (as of my last update).

Python 3.10 (upcoming): As of my last update, Python 3.10 was in the development phase and had not been officially released yet. However, it's expected to bring new features and optimizations.

Python 3.x introduced many improvements over Python 2.x, but it also introduced some backward-incompatible changes, which is why Python 2 was kept around for so long. However, due to its end-of-life status, it's essential to use Python 3.x for all new projects.
