Today We are going to learn How to Create First Repository On GitHub by Rohit Patil | Techno Katta 2020.

GitHub :
GitHub brings together the world's largest community of Developers to discover, share and build better software.
Github is a Git repository hosting service but it adds many of its own features. Create a repository for a new idea or bring over an existing repository to keep contributing to it.
GitHub provides a Web-based graphical interface.

Git :
Git is Command Line Tool.

Create a new repository :
A repository contains all project files, including the revision history. Great repository names are short and memorable.
A directory or storage space where your projects can live. Sometimes GitHub users shorten this to “repo.”

Steps to create repository :
1) In the upper-right corner of any page, use the drop-down menu, and select New repository.

2) Type a short, memorable name for your repository. For example, "hello-world".

3) Optionally, add a description of your repository. For example, "My first repository on GitHub."

4) Choose a repository visibility. For more information, see "About repository visibility."

5) Select Initialize this repository with a README.

6)Click Create repository.
Congratulations! You've successfully created your first repository
