RISK: Global Domination - Basic Training | Draft

Hello generals and welcome to Basic Training For RISK: Global Domination.

At the beginning of the game, the board is split into multiple territories. Each of these territories is occupied by a different coloured player. In the game your objective is to eliminate your opponents and control all territories on the board. Throughout these modules, we will cover the 3 phases on your turn, territory cards, continents and attacking with a manual dice roll.

Your turn is split in 3 phases; Draft, Attack and Fortify. We will begin with Basic Training Module 1: Draft. Draft is the first phase of your turn. During the Draft phase, you will receive troops to add to your army. The number of troops is determined by:
The amount of territories you own.
Continent bonuses
And card trading.

This module will focus on drafting the troops received for owning territories. The more territories you control at the start of your turn the more troops you are awarded to draft. For every 3 territories you control, you receive 1 extra troop. For example, if you occupy 13 territories, you will gain 4 troops. However each player will begin their turn with at least 3 troops, even if they own less than 9 territories.

Select the territory to deploy your troops. Use the slider to set the number of troops you wish to deploy. You can deploy your troops across multiple owned territories. For example, if you receive a total of 5 troops, they can be split by deploying 3 troops in one territory and 2 in another. Or you can just deploy all of them into a single territory. However, you must deploy all of your troops during the draft phase. Once you have deployed all your troops you can now end this phase of your turn by selecting ‘next phase’.
