Raspberry Pi MYSQL & PHPMyAdmin Tutorial
In this video, I am taking a look at the Raspberry Pi MYSQL & PHPMyAdmin. These are both very useful when it comes to storing & modifying data.

If you have already seen my video on the Raspberry Pi Web Server you will notice, I don’t show you how to setup PHPMyAdmin. If you have just come from that tutorial, you can skip ahead to 2:20 and this will show you how to install it.
For those who just want a Raspberry Pi MYSQL server then this video is perfect. We first setup the MYSQL server and then you can optionally setup PHPMyAdmin if you don’t want to use the command line.
If you’re into Web, then you have probably familiar with MYSQL. If you’re completely new, then this is a great way to get learning. You can easily install MYSQL and start playing around with it on the Raspberry Pi. There are plenty of great tutorials around to introduce you to the SQL statements and much more. I would recommend taking a look at w3schools.
PhpMyAdmin is a web interface for administrating MYSQL databases. This is a really easy way to create, edit and delete data. You don’t need to know any SQL to be able to start altering data however I would strongly recommend learning it. This tool is free to use and is used in a lot of modern web server setups. The Raspberry Pi PhpMyAdmin again is a great way to learn lots on how this interface works and what you can do with it.
