Java GridLayout
The Java GridLayout class is used to arrange the components in a rectangular grid. One component is displayed in each rectangle.
In gridlayout components are arranged into rows and Cloumns. Java GridLayout is like a mesh with rectangular squares where each component is added.
GridLayout object places components in a grid of cells. Each component takes all the available space within its cell, and each cell is exactly the same size. If the GridLayoutDemo window is resized, the GridLayout object changes the cell size so that the cells are as large as possible, given the space available to the container.

The code snippet below creates the GridLayout object and the components it manages.
The GridLayout class is a layout manager that lays out a container's components in a rectangular grid. The container is divided into equal-sized rectangles, and one component is placed in each rectangle. For example, the following is an applet that lays out six buttons into three rows and two columns

Every rectangle cell has the same size therefore, they contain a component, which fills the entire cell. When the user changes or adjusts the size of the container, the size of each rectangles changes accordingly.
