Java can be called the most basic form of development. It is one of the essentials that you have to learn before you get into many complex frameworks. According to Oracle, more than 3 billion devices run Java, isn't that huge? Even though it's usage is not very visible directly, it is used in all the companies in one way or the other. It is quite a multi-purpose framework and can be used to build web applications, android apps, embedded space, big data technologies and much more.
