1. Region and Zone :

Region : geographic area
Zone : Isolated Data centers is called Availability Zones.

2. Key Pair : is secerect key to access the aws resources, aws save the public key it self and give you the private key to download and access the aws resources

3. SG : fairewall where you can restrict the inbound and out communication on your aws resources.

4. Type of Ec2 instances : https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/

This is divided on CPU, memory and storage and netwroking capacity.

5. Genration / family of Ec2 :

6. AMI : Amazone machine image , very simlar to iso image of any O.S, You can choose AMI to launch instance, depends on your requirments.
You can also create and share IMAGE with others account or in community

7. EBS : Elastic Block Storage - This is a plug-and-play device, In easy word you can say a hardisk for your ec2 machine.

# General purpose : General Purpose SSD (gp2) volumes offer cost-effective storage that is ideal for a broad range of workloads.
These volumes deliver single-digit millisecond latencies and the ability to burst to 3,000 IOPS for extended periods of time.
Between a minimum of 100 IOPS (at 33.33 GiB and below) and a maximum of 10,000 IOPS (at 3,334 GiB and above),
baseline performance scales linearly at 3 IOPS per GiB of volume size

# Provisioned IOPS SSD: Provisioned IOPS SSD (io1) volumes are designed to meet the needs of I/O-intensive workloads, particularly database workloads,
that are sensitive to storage performance and consistency.

# Magnetic volumes are backed by magnetic drives and are suited for workloads where data is accessed infrequently,
and scenarios where low-cost storage for small volume sizes is important. These volumes deliver approximately 100 IOPS on average,
with burst capability of up to hundreds of IOPS, and they can range in size from 1 GiB to 1 TiB.

# Now lets launch and access the instance #

For hands-On task .

1. Launch an Ec2 instance and connect with it [Amazon Linux/Windows using free tire configuration and AMI]
2. Launch an Ec2 Instance and install LAMP environment on it.
