ENGLISH GRAMMAR Explained in a Slide:
1) Listen to the text.
2) Observe many examples of verbs used in PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS Tense - in this simple context.
3) Read the notes accompanying the text attentively - why the Present Perfect Continuous is used and what timing words or phrases are accompanying it.
English grammar is easy and can be all presented in charts and tables for a few minutes. Of course, any study takes a lot of practice! English Grammar is no different from other areas of studies. So, it takes practice.
Verbs do not have conjugations. Nouns, adjectives, and possessive pronouns do not have Cases (and declensions by cases): so they never change their endings. The comparatives/superlatives of adjectives and adverbs are easily formed. The English Verb has very few forms which are easily fit in a logical table of English Verb tenses. (Please see my lectures "16 Tenses of the English Verb"). English Participle is very undeveloped and does not have many forms, prefixes, or change of endings. English sentence regularly has a certain word order that is easy to follow. English punctuation is quite peculiar: sometimes it seems where the comma is necessary for better understanding - it's missing; and vice versa, where it could be skipped - it is applied.
Please note, that some grammar books use "Progressive" instead of "Continuous", or they say "possessive adjectives" instead of "possessive pronouns". Grammarians can use different terminology, but when one goes across a few languages, one notices systematically same features: tenses, parts of speech and how they work in a sentence.
