Inner vs Outer Joins SQL Server

In this video, we will learn about inner vs outer joins for sql Server.
We can join two tables on the basis of common key between them.
1. Inner Join- Gives us all the records where the joining key between both the tables has matching values in both the tables.
Outer Joins
2. Left Join or Left Outer Join- Gives us all the records for the table on the left hand side of the join. It gives us all records in the other table that have a matching key with the first table. For non matching values, sql server will set the column values to null for table on the right hand side of the join
3. Right Join or Right Outer Join- Is the exact opposite of the left join
4. Full Join- Gives us all records from both the tables.

--Inner join
Select * from
dbo.TableA
inner join
dbo.TableB
on
tableA.EmployeeId=TableB.EmployeeId

--Left join
Select * from
dbo.TableA
left join
dbo.TableB
on
tableA.EmployeeId=TableB.EmployeeId

--right join
Select * from
dbo.TableA
right join
dbo.TableB
on
tableA.EmployeeId=TableB.EmployeeId

--full join
Select * from
dbo.TableA
full join
dbo.TableB
on
tableA.EmployeeId=TableB.EmployeeId
