Programming is everywhere in our world today and life as we know it wouldn’t be the same without it. From the microwave in our kitchen to the electrical grid that powers our homes to the space probes that are exploring the depths of our solar system, all of these depend on programming. This mini documentary will look into what is programming and how this skill of writing instructions for computers is taking the world by storm — one line of code at a time. Through eye-opening conversations and real-world examples from technical leaders, software engineers, and novice programmers, you’ll see how programming can go beyond the lines of code on the computer screen. This mini documentary is part of my video series for Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) 2021 to raise awareness for computer science education.
