Final Fantasy VII - Ruby Weapon Strategy

This is my first time trying out this kind of strategy against Ruby Weapon. This feels like the most legit was I've ever beaten him, and doesn't feel all that game-breakish compared to some other ways of doing it. Similar to my recent Emerald Weapon video, I'm sure this could be tightened up a bit, but this went just fine so oh well. You only really need to use 4 Hero Drinks during the fight to max out all of your stats. Counterattacking in this way is the safest way to fight Ruby Weapon, as HE will counterattack many of your attacks regularly. You go into the fight with only once character to get him to put his tentacles into the sand. You can try to resurrect the others if you wish, it really shouldn't make a difference, but they may actually get in your way of inputting commands. Also, without giving the others their own Hero Drinks, they won't be able to do much good anyway. By equipping a Mystile to the armor slot, you will dodge most of Ruby Weapon's Ultima and Shadow Flare spells, which is very helpful as those can do a ton of damage. The tentacles will hit you for HP and MP damage (respectively), but neither can actually kill you because their attacks are gravity-based. Don't worry about them. You should equip a Ribbon to protect against negative status from the tentacles, however. Ruby has one Fire Elemental attack as well, so a Fire + Elemental (the higher the level the better) will eliminate that attack from damaging you as well. This makes Ruby Ray the only real way he can damage you. Since you are primarily dealing damage with counterattacks you have your actual turn free to heal yourself in the event that you are getting low on HP. And that's essentially all you have to do until you deal 800,000 damage. I specifically used Barret for this fight since his ultimate weapon ("Missing Score") deals more damage the more AP is equipped to it, as opposed to many other ultimate weapons, whose powers are dependent on current HP or MP, which can fluctuate wildly in this fight. Again, this is the PS4 port of the game, so I fight the battle in 3X speed to get through it a little faster. Let me know if you have questions and have fun!
