In this video we’ll show you how to create a walk-through tour effortlessly within Modelo with our new awesome feature, walkthrough.

Now you can simply just drop waypoints on the floor plan, which will be connected as a tour path, and instantly you will have a walk-through tour ready to present.

And we also allow you to change the elevation of the level, so the walk-through can seamlessly travel to another floor plan by climbing the stairs.

To begin, click here and then click the plus button to create a new walkthrough.

First, you need to choose a floor to drop your first waypoint as your starting point. We will immediately generate a floor plan to create the walkthrough on.

Then you will be asked to choose the view direction of this first waypoint. You can move your cursor around on the floor plan and left click to confirm the direction or directly rotate on your model in the 3D interface and confirm.

Drop the next waypoint to where you want to head to, and don’t forget to confirm the direction again.

Between every two waypoints, the view direction will gradually change, so the transition of the walkthrough will be smooth.

You can always adjust the position and view direction of the waypoints anytime.

Simply repeat the steps above until you cover all the areas you want to present, test it out by hitting the playback button.

Now Let’s say, your design has more than one floor, and you want the walkthrough to travel to another floor seamlessly. we made that possible as well!

At the entrance of the stairs, between two floors, click here to first change the elevation. Simply drag the slider, so the 3d view will actually raise to the height of the other floor.
And then drop a new waypoint by the end of the stairs, then you are done! Let’s test it out by playing the walkthrough.

Between every two waypoints there is a line, the system always calculates the projection of the line down to whatever floor plan is beneath it. As a result, you can walk or climb on any terrain or structure. That’s why the final walkthrough will “climb” the stairs along the waypoints set with different ascending elevations.

In just a few minutes, anyone can create their own walkthrough without needing to know any professional CAD softwares, only using Modelo.

We designed a playback slider so you can simply just drag and slide to any point of the walkthrough.

You can also adjust the playback speed here.

And Click here to switch between different levels you have set. Just a reminder, every time you change the elevation, we generate a virtual level to keep all the dots you made on that same elevation, and the previous dots will turn to grey color. The dots on the same level will stay in orange color.

So, to change the position and view direction of the dots you need to always go back to the level where the dots belong to, only the orange dots are in active modify mode.
