Description: Shading problems (black correction). The scan level of the CCD black is abnormal during shading.
Causes: Incorrect connection of the flat cable of the CCD unit. Fault of the CCD unit. Fault of the MCB PWB.
Solution: Check the flat cable connection of the CCD unit. Check the CCD unit

Check connection of the harness to the scanner lamp unit. Check or replace the scanner lamp. Check or replace the scanner lamp drive PWB. Clean or replace the mirror, the lens, and the reference white board. Check or replace the CCD unit. Check or replace the SCU PWB.

Remedy:
Check connection of the CCD unit flat cable.
Check the CCD unit.

1- Check connection of the harness to the CCD unit/Improper connection of the CCD unit flat cable

2- Check the CCD unit/CCD unit abnormality

3- Check the SCU PWB/MCU PWB abnormality. Steps to follow to eradicate this issue: According to the manual, this error originates in the scanner’s lamp, or in the scanner’s roller, which could be jammed. Step

1: Clean the scanner’s lamp as softly as possible, keeping it from breaking because it is a very delicate bulb. We suggest you use napkins for this, and a small vacuum or blow dryer to clean out all paper residues that may lay inside. If anything is left inside the lamp, it will appear on every single copy you scan or copy. Step

2: Grease up the scanner’s roller located in the scanning sector; it will allow it to move from one side to the other. Step

3: After this procedure has been finished, turn the scanner on. It will show the F5 error message, which indicates the crystal is now loose, this is okay since we’re actually working on the scanner. In case you don’t want this error message to appear, simply place the crystal back on the scanner. However, recommend you put this off if the E7 error persists. Step

4: Place every piece back where they belong, then test the device to see if the error was successfully eliminated. This post shows only one solution to this problem and it does not mean it is the only solution available to eliminate this error.
