How to nail your new site's keyword research using SEMrush from scratch [SEO Tutorial]

I'm making a slight change to my channel guys, I'll have two types of videos, shorter ones with the normal intro and then longer ones with this new intro. The longer ones will also be tagged with [tutorial] and are to help people learn certain thing about digital marketing, SEO, Redbubble etc!


In this tutorial i'll show you how to do the initial keyword research around a new website, even if you don't know anything about the topic, and if you don't even speak the language that the website is written in.

SEO is all about juice. It's like when you're making orange juice from an orange and you want to squeeze every last bit of the juice of it. First you start by simply rotating it, then you have to move it around and make sure you're getting all of it.

In this video, i'll show you in detail how exactly to do this with a brand new website, and how to do the fundamentals when it comes to keyword research to find the first few keywords and content you should be focusing on. You would then take this keyword list and start to create and optimise content around it.

Fairly simple stuff really. You can do this with any keyword research tool, or you can even do it for yourself.. For free. Just type in the keyword onto google and see what comes up.

If you do want to do this method for free, I recommend using the tool Keywords everywhere.

However, if you've got a good budget for starting your own website, there's nothing like SEMrush or Ahrefs. They're incredibly powerful tools, as you can see from this video, you can build a keyword list in under 30 minutes.

This keyword list should then be used for the basis of your strategy.
