In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a git repository on GitHub. It covers all the mandatory and optional fields that are there while creating a repository. Once you create a repository, you would need to take a clone of it on your local machine which can be done in a couple of ways:
- Using the command line - git clone command
- Using the visual application - GitHub Desktop - Download it from: https://desktop.github.com/

You can download the complete project as a zip file as well but that is not recommended to clone the project on your machine.
We have explained about the gitIgnore file as well that you should add to your project, though optional, to control what does not go into the repository. This helps manage the code and its quality of it.
