Hi.

Let’s look at array literals.

So in this video, we’re going to look at array literals.

And if I come here, let’s start by what is an array? An array is an ordered set of values that is accessible through its id and the index.

Now, the id is the name of the array of course.

And the index is the index location of that particular array element.

So, let’s say the name of the array is id.

You can access the element in the array using the id and the index of the array.

If it is at ‘0’, we’ll use the name of the array, then square brackets, then the index of the array.

So this is the id of the array which is the name of the array.

So here, I have a link.

And, sometimes Java and JavaScript syntax are usually similar looking.

But everything about arrays, the way you access them is the same except for the fact that arrays in Java are data typed, meaning that if it is an integer, it will only store integers.

If it is strings, it will only store strings.

So that is not true for JavaScript but go ahead and watch this and then the continuation of this video is in the next video.

And, this video will show you how to access the arrays, how to use the arrays in Java.
