Replace Front Strut Mount Assembly: 2011 KIA Sorento

If you hear loud snapping and cracking noises when you're driving, there could be a chance your strut assembly is causing the issue.

The usual suspects would be the stabilizer link or tie rod end. But this clanking sound can become so loud, it sounds as if someone is smashing a hammer to the side of your vehicle.

Over time the bearings in the strut assembly can wear and become loose. This will cause them to stack onto each other and create loud noises when going over bumps.

Replacing the bad strut assembly with a newer one will likely solve the issue.

- Knuckle/spindle bolts: 130 ft-lbs
- Stabilizer link: 86 ft-lbs
- Strut mount: 47 ft-lbs
- Wheel lug nuts: 80 ft-lbs
