Open Shipping Container

In this video, home renovation brothers Dave and Rich, and Dave's son, Caleb show you how to open a shipping container. In addition, they show you how to close a shipping container, and how to lubricate the many hinges so your container will operate optimally.

To open a shipping container, start with the right door. Pull both levers at the same time, moving them to the left, 180 degrees. The door should pop open.

Repeat this procedure with the left door. Pull both levers at the same time, moving them to the right, 180 degrees. That door should also pop open.

To close the shipping container doors, simply reverse the process, close the left door first, then close the right door.
