FFX - Fortune Spheres auto-farming with a python script

Dumb python script for farming Fortune Spheres in Final Fantasy X Remaster on PC.

Fortune Spheres farming can be a painful and lengthy task as you need a total of ~420 of them to
reach 255 Luck for all characters. As Earth Eater attacks only one opponent at a time, you can safely automate Fortune Spheres farming with the auto-phoenix ability and the auto battle setting.

The code is basically an infinite loop that buys 99 phoenixes, starts a fight with Monster Eater, waits for the fight to finish and does it 12 times a row before iterating to the next loop. It is a dumb script because it only gives outputs, it doesn't read inputs. But it is still efficient.

HOW TO USE IT
Go to the monster arena, talk to Trema, put your cursor on "Fight monsters", launch the script and wait. You have 10 seconds to go back to the game screen. (you can adjust this)

PHOENIX DOWN PURCHASE FREQUENCY
You can adjust the number of fights before buying phoenixes with the BATTLES_BEFORE_BUY variable. For safety reasons the default value is 12, but with high strength, defense and magic defense you will consume 3 to 8 phoenixes every fight. (maybe less with BHPL armors)

BATTLE DURATION
Depending on your stats, battle duration may be superior to 55 seconds. In my case, it takes 43 to 52 seconds. I put 55 to be safe. That makes a round loop (menus navigation + fight) of 62 seconds. You can adjust this using the BATTLE_TIME variable.

WHAT YOU NEED
- Recommended equipment:
- auto-phoenix (mandatory)
- auto-haste (recommended)
- auto-shell/magic def + (very optional)
- Stats: high Strength and Magic Defense as he counters each attack with Flare
- Weapons: celestial weapons
- high amount of gils to buy phoenixes (sell the dropped equipment to make fast gil)
- equipment list as free as possible (so you don't trigger the "full inventory" menu after a fight)
- Auto Battle Setting (F4 button)
- X4 Setting (F1 button)

4 HOURS TO GET 420 FORTUNE SPHERES
Considering that:
- Monster Eater will sometimes (~1/10) drop Dark Matters (useful for Ribbons)
- this strategy will not allow you to have systematic overkills (~1/5 non-overkills) as some characters' strength drops when they're very low HP
- a fight iteration duration is nearly 1 minute
expect one hour to get ~99 Fortune Spheres and ~4h15 to get 420

Make sure you free your equipment list from time to time and don't forget to spend your Fortune Spheres when you have 99 of them.
