During this Microsoft Excel 2016 training tutorial video, we will show you the basics of entering and editing data in a workbook. We will also demonstrate how to use autofit column width to make data fit within a cell, as well as how to format numbers into currency.

If you want to follow along as you learn Excel, you will find the first exercise of this course accompanying this video. Applying the things you have learned in the earlier chapters, you'll create a workbook and enter data showing the monthly averages for rainfall, minimum temperature, and maximum temperature where you live.

We will show you how to format dates in Excel. You will learn how to change the date and time settings according to your region, how to format dates in their short or long forms, how to work with dates that appear invalid in a cell, as well as how Excel interprets numbers entered in a cell as dates.

Discover how to modify numbers entered in a cell into various formats such as fractions, scientific, accounting, special, and time formats. We will also demonstrate how to format numbers as text, as well as how to edit contents and delete characters in a cell.

The second exercise of this course relates to formatting date and time. You will be tasked to modify the content of a workbook by changing the time format from 12-hour to 24-hour clock and by editing certain date and time.
