AIMS Installation Prerequisites

The Avatier Identity Management Suite or AIMS leverages the Microsoft Dot Net framework to deliver web-based, cross platform, support and enrollment domain operating system independence. On a Windows 2008 or a Windows 2008 R2 domain member server, AIMS requires IIS 7 or IIS seven point five with the following role components and features. From Common HTTP Features, you will need: Static Content, Default Document, Directory Browsing, HTTP Errors, and HTTP Redirection. From Application Development, AIMS requires ASP Dot NET four point zero, dot Net Extensibility, ISAPI Extensions, and filters.

For Health And Diagnostics components, add the HTTP Logging, Custom Logging, ODBC Security Logs, Basic and Windows Authentication requirements. The Performance component is needed if installing the Exchange 2007 Management Console. This includes Static and Dynamic Content Compression Management Tools, IIS Management Console, IIS Management Scripts and Tools, and the Management Service. AIMS also requires IIS six Management Compatibility for IIS six Meta base Compatibility, IIS six WMI Compatibility, IIS six Scripting Tools, and the IIS six Management Console. Exceptions must be made for Group policies preventing anonymous access to web structure directories for the client pages of AIMS to function. Baseline security products installed on the AIMS server, either for the Operating System, or IIS, which would prevent anonymous access, will also need adjustment.
