Lua Glider Tutorial 1 part 1 - Basic Debugging

Hello, in this tutorial we will briefly describe how to use some of the features of the debugger and give some scenarios when you would use them. First of all, lets get the game files from github, we will be using the tilt monster game example for this tutorial. Lets get it from github.
Now lets open up maingame.lua and go to line 4242. Just press cntrl-g for a shortcut. Lets set a breakpoint at this line. To do this just click on the line number. This will allow you to stop the simulator when it reaches this line of code so you can examine the variables in scope here. Now lets click debug. This will start the simulator. Now lets click the play now. You will notice the game has paused and a green arrow is shown over the breakpoint. You can now examine the contents of all variables currently in scope here in the variables tab.
Now lets click the step into button. This is useful when you want to advance the simulator one line at a time, allowing you to look at variables change as they evolve over time.
Now lets say we are done looking at this function and wish to return to the function gameloop. You can either keep stepping until you return, or you can hit step out. This will skip the rest of the function.
Ok, say you are sure that the moveGrass function works and you want to skip it. Click step over. It will still be executed in the simulator, you just don't have to step through the whole thing yourself.
If you want to skip an entire block of code, just use the run to cursor function. Click somewhere in the document and click run to cursor, you will see the program has stopped there.
