Java 8 Features - Welcome to the Java Stream API Tutorial with Demonstration.
This session is on one of the very important feature of Java 8 i.e. Stream API, which is available in java.util.stream package. Stream API supports functional programming in java by introducing classes to support functional-style operations on streams of elements, such as map-reduce transformations on collections. This is an essential feature which every Java programmer should know. By using this feature Java developer’s/ lead’s/ architect’s code/ design will be very concise and effective. This will help to write the code in relatively lesser number of lines. Stream API ’s support majority of aggregate operations which were unavailable before Java 8. Hence, I strongly recommend you to watch this tutorial till the end and try the examples with the video. This approach will be very helpful to understand and apply Streams in your project. Here, I have discussed key methods of streams and also demonstrated multiple examples using map(), filter(), forEach(), sorted() etc. Due to mentioned characteristics, this is a key java interview question too.
