Customize Checkout Page in WooCommerce WordPress | Ultimate Checkout Fields Manager

In this wordpress woocommerce tutorial, we are looking into how can we add custom fields, edit fields, hide fields and re-order fields from checkout page. We can edit billing, Shipping or Additional fields sections in checkout page very easily. Reorder, remove or change the field type of the WooCommerce core fields. Allowed field types are Text, Textarea, Password, Radio, Checkbox, Select, Country, State, Multiselect, Multicheckbox, Heading, Colorpicker and File uploader. We can also apply conditions to checkout fields.

From plugins, search and add new plugin: Checkout Field Manager. We will use 'Checkout Field Manager (Checkout Manager) for WooCommerce'. After it's installed, go to WooCommerce settings, and then checkout tab. Here we have got settings related to Checkout, Billing, Shipping, Additional, Order and more. There are few features specific to PRO version. I will show you what free version can do.

From checkout you can force shipping address to be filled by customer. From Billing tab, you can customize a lot of things:

Fields at the billing page are listed here:
- We can make any of these mandatory / use toggle button for required.
- We can make them float to left, right or make them full width by this position option.
- We can move them up or down to reorder them.
- We can change the label.
- We can add new field.
- We can rename fields.
- We can apply conditions on fields

We can also hide any of these fields. This is a feature in PRO version but you can add class to any available field and use display none for that class to hide that specific field. It's that easy in free version. Or use jQuery remove function to remove that element by targeting class.

This was billing. Similarly for shipping area, same settings are present separately. In additional you can add more fields. and so on ...

All in all this is a good plugin. Give it a go if you want to customize checkout fields in wordpress.
