How to Handle TextBoxes in Selenium - Selenium Webdriver with Java tutorials

Let`s see how to handle textbox in Selenium webdriver.

1)TextBox in web application normally comes under the Input tag with attribute type as text.

2)You need to first locate the textbox with any of the selenium locators like XPath, CSS, ID,etc.,

3)Then you need to enter some text or value inside the textbox. To do that, use method sendkeys(Values to be entered)

4)If the textbox already contains data, then you can use method clear() to wipe the data and sendKeys to enter new data.

5)If you want to get the data already present in the Textbox, you can use method getText() which return the data present in the textbox.

6) In a few cases, selenium doesn`t work with the textbox and you should go for Javascript executor
These are all the ways you can easily handle any textbox in selenium.
