ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence tool that focuses on creating dialogue.

At the same time many web developers and front end developers are starting to become afraid of it.

There were many cases in the past where humans started to be afraid of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT. In the case of web development jobs, the “worry” is regarding the fact that, in the future, it MIGHT, replace web developers and front end developers.

Is this true, maybe? Will all the front end development jobs be replaced in the future with “terminator-like” chatgpt programming?

Listen, ChatGPT was created by entrepreneurs and developers who were looking for a way to automate their web development workflow so to speak. They wanted to be able to reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks and focus on new opportunities.

This is what AI ( artificial intelligence ) is what is used for! It should be a blessing that we even have the possibility to experience with such tools.

Just imagine being able to write less code and actually focusing more on the development of a website, or maybe focusing on how to learn html, css and js by enhancing your skills while leaving the boring tasks to a digital robot.

The founders of ChatGPT have experience in both software development and customer service. They recognized that many of the same problems plague both professions: inefficient time management, low productivity, and lack of communication.

ChatGPT’s goal is to, maybe in the future, make you work less and earn the same ( or even more ), because someone must review the code that the AI uses, then improve it.

At the same time, just imagine how productive it would be if a front end developer works at the same time with the AI? That’s even MORE powerful.

So if the question is “will ai replace programmers”? Then, the answer is “No, at least, not in the next 15 years”

The current versions of Ai are basic. They can do fundamental, very basic coding examples. Just imagine an usual factory for clothes, so to speak.

Yes, those machines are doing most of the work, but they are operated by humans. And it has been like this for years.

The same will happen with ChatGPT by OpenAi.

You really don’t have be afraid of ai replacing the programmers. You should be HAPPY if you get the chance to work less and earn the same. Basically, there’s more free time for you.

When trying to get a remote front end development job, your focus should be on learning more valuable skills, like human communication. THAT, alongside a powerful developer portfolio, will help you stay relevant for your company so you won’t get replaced by AI as a programmer in the future.
