Diskless and Virtual (Enterprise Cloud) Server

This is a server
1, to host all your windows or other operating systems' booting device. Instead of booting from local hard drive, you boot from the server's iscsi target, which is called Enterprise Cloud. The video shows you have to setup your workstation BIOS to start from the network card instead of local hard drive or other local devices.
2, You can install different operating system on the Server depending your needs. But you need licenses for Windows. You can share one license with the one you used for local hard drives. Other Operating system do not need license such as Linux or FreeBSD. The video shows you can choose differenct operating system to run if you install them.
3, The server also installed virtual machines on it. The workstations can log on the server to run all virtual machines from the server. The virtual machine is the similar to the diskless machine. They need license. For example, people in you company want try Windows 8. You could install a Virtual machine in the server as Windows 8, and let everybody to log on to try it. You do not have to intall Windows 8 on everybody's computer to let them try Windows 8. If serveral guys want to use Windows Server 2012 for a couple hours, you can let them use ONE virtual machine of Windows server 2012 on the server, you do not have to buy more than one licese of Windows server 2012.
Diskless idea saves cost for IT support. The server make snapshots for all workstations every 10 minutes. In case problem, you just rollback the iscsi target back to any previous status instead of trouble shooting or Windows restore or recover or virus removing. Always rollback instead of fixing it. This way, save a lot of time and money. And reduce the down time for each computer.
Virtualization saves money for license fee.
Also you can afford one reliable server instead of struggling to make every Windows reliable.
The snapshot is a live clone image of the Windows. It can be run any time. It is not the Windows backup. In order to make the Windows backup to work, you have to have a working windows operating system running to restore the backup file. The backup is not directly runnable. So restore Windows from a snaphost takes 5 seconds. To bring Windows backup to work, it takes more than 5 hours. You have to reinstall Windows to use the backup files.
