How to install Google Backup & Sync for Mac

- To the left where it says For Individuals click Download-in the new window click Agree and Download-to the lower-left corner when the download is ready click and open it.

The Install Backup and Sync from Google window will open-grab the blue arrow up and drag it to the application folder, within a few seconds the app will be installed.

- You can open the application folder and open the Backup and Sync app-on the new window click Open-couple of the new window will open and ask what do you want to Backup if you agree you click OK, otherwise Don’t Allow (similar questions will pop up later on) after these selections on a new window hit Get Started – put your (school) email address - next, put the email password, and hit sign in, click GOT IT to move to the next window – then you will be prompted to choose the folder you would like to backup – make your selection and hit NEXT, click GOT IT.

- At the top where it says Google Drive, Uncheck the box where it says; Sync My Drive to this Computer, otherwise everything will be coming back from Google Drive to the computer and you will run out of storage, to the lower right hit START.
- After these steps are done at the top bar on the right you will see the little Google Backup icon starting to work-on the icon itself you can make changes if needed.
- Please check later on after a day or so if the backup is uploading files automatically to your Google Drive
