Constructors [Properties | Types] - Example : Default Constructor | Parameterized Constructor

A constructor is a special member function of a class which initializes object of a class as soon as the object is created in memory.

#Constructor has following special properties :

1. It is a special member function of a class.
2. It is invoked automatically when the object is created in memory.
3. Name of Constructor function must be the same as that of the class name.
4. It cannot return any value hence no return type is required, not even void.
5. It should be declared in the public section of the class.
6. It cannot be inherited, but a derived class can call the base class constructor.
7. A single class can have more than one Constructor, all with same name as that of the class name but with the different type definition. This represents that Constructor functions are Overloaded Functions.
8. We cannot refer to their address
9. It cannot be virtual.

Types of Constructor Functions :

1. Default Constructor/ Constructor without arguments
2. Parameterized Constructors
a. Parameterized Constructor with Single Argument
b. Parameterized Constructor with Multiple Arguments
3. Constructor function with Default Arguments
4. Copy Constructor
5. Dynamic Constructor

Invocation of Constructor:
1. Implicit
2. Explicit
