Android Studio Bitbucket Integration Tutorial - How to Use Bitbucket in Android Studio

Please install git and have the git executable available on your path. Download link on the description below.

This Android Studio & Bitbucket tutorial will teach you how to use Bitbucket with Android Studio without using any plugins. I will show you how easy it is - and a little bit of troubleshooting too as I encountered a problem while recording the video :)

To use Android Studio with Bitbucket, you just have to follow the basic steps in pushing a code to a remote repository as if you are not using Android Studio. These steps are:
(1) Create your local repository using "git init" command.
(2) Add your remote git repo using "git remote add {url of remote repo}"
(3) Adding files and committing your first code.
(4) Pushing your files to the remote repository.

All these steps can be done via the Android Studio terminal, and for some steps like adding, committing code, and pushing to remote repo, you can use the Android Studio user interface.

A pre-requisite for this tutorial for windows users is that the git for windows should already be installed on your machine, and the git executable should be already included on your path. For Linux and Mac users, nothing to do for you guys as git is already installed by default :)
