Installing wordpress on your blog is very simple, and in most cases should take you no more than a few minutes. Login to your hosting cpanel. To do this go to yourdomain.com/cpanel.

Once you're inside cpanel look for Wordpress install. It should be easily visible. Click on it and select the domain you want to install it on from the drop down menu.

Leave the directory option blank unless you want your blog in a subdirectory. For example, you may want your domain as a sales page. You could then have your blog as a subfolder. In this case your blog would be situated at yourdomain.com/blog

All you have to do now is follow the instructions. You'll have the option to create a username and password for logging into admin. Make a note and keep somewhere you can easily find it.

Go to yourdomain.com/admin and login. Next, you'll want to change the theme. Just go to appearances and select themes. Wordpress give you a selection of free themes, but the main drawback is limited functionality.

This may not necessarily be an issue if you're new to Wordpress, but at the same time, many paid themes can be easier to use if you're a beginner.

You also get unlimited support, so if you get stuck you've got help whenever you need it. If you decide to use a free theme only ever download those from wordpress.org.

Never download themes from an unknown source as they may contain viruses. For paid themes I highly recommend themeforest.net

Next, you need to install a couple of plugins that will help your content get indexed quicker. Plugins are simply software that adds functionality to your site. They're created using php script making integration simple.

W3 Total Cache is a plugin designed to improve speed and loading time of pages. It also improves user experience by using caching. This stores data from previous visits making it quick to access.

. There are hundreds of plugins available, but try not to install too many. They can slow down your site or even crash. Plugins can become addictive, but as long you stick only to those you really need you should be fine.

Lastly, go to settings/permalinks and select "post name" as the site structure. Then save settings
