Glass is a compound. The most common glass is made of the elements silicon and oxygen. Glass has it's own reflection. If a light is close to a glancing angle to the glass, most of it is reflected.
Creating a Glass Effect to your image is a challenging experiment for image editors. There are so many things you have to do in order to get this right. Make the Glass transparent but not accidentally erase it while doing, Spherize the segment of the glass on the background image, match the glass's reflective surface with the image background environment.
